Adult Program

Program Coordinator: Ray Bonker (rbonker@ptd.net)

The LVSC has three co-ed adult teams in the Sussex County soccer league. During the spring, summer and fall, we compete with teams from Andover, High Point, Hopatcong, Frankford and Green. These games are held early Monday evenings in the Spring and Summer, with Saturday afternoon games in the Fall. The league conducts games under all FIFA rules with the exception of no slide tackling, and each team is required to have at least two female players on the field of eleven. The level of play is semi-competitive, with most players having at least high school or some college playing experience. All male players must be at least 30 years old, and female players must be at least 18 years old.

During the winter season the LVSC has (at least) one adult team which plays in the Adult Indoor program. These games are held Saturday evenings during January, February and March.  The games are played at Byram Intermediate School.

New players interested in playing provisionally on existing teams whenever space is available may contact the team manager, Ray Bonker, at rbonker@ptd.net. Priority is given to coaches and volunteers of the LVSC first, but alumni of the school system and players close to the sending districts of Byram, Stanhope and Netcong are welcome also. Costs are quite minimal, just enough to cover referee fees and uniforms. Come join us!
