Pre-K and K Players
Children will be split into mini groups with same age peers. Sessions will be led by parent coaches with Kickz UK trainers assisting. The sessions will be a mix of fun games and activities to build foundational skills. Most weeks will end with a short "scrimmage" giving everyone a chance to shoot and score! This age uses a Size 3 Soccer Ball.

Grade 1 and 2 Players
At this age players will be split into 4-6 teams (depending on player count) and will play 4-vs-4 games (no goalie) on Saturday mornings against each other in a rotating schedule. Teams will be led by parent coaches with an assigned Kickz UK trainer providing support. The games are fun and fast paced and begin to teach the players the 'rules' of soccer (out-of-bounds, throw-ins, penalty kicks, etc). This age uses a Size 3 Soccer Ball.

LVSC "World Cup" Tournament - 3rd Grade and Up
This is a fun round robin style tournament run by our trainer, Coach Natalie. Each week there will be a quick skills practice followed by 10 minute 4v4 small-sided games. Over the 8 week session, players will get lots of playing time, allowing them to improve their skills. Coach Natalie will assign teams based on the players who are there for the session, or you can form your own team and play together. Coach Natalie will be tracking the winners throughout the weeks in preparation for the "championship" in week 8. World Cup participation is free for current LVSC Travel Players.

Grades 3 through 8 Players
Rec players in grades 3 through 8 play in the SCYSL (Sussex County Youth Soccer League.) The league is coed and teams are grouped by age range:

U10 - 7v7 - 2009/2010 birth year
U12 - 9v9 - 2007/2008 birth year

The games are held on Saturdays at various times and locations throughout Sussex County. Our Home fields are CO Johnson (7v7 & 11v11) and Mohawk Ridge (9v9). During the week there can be a coach practice at CO Johnson (typically Monday and Thursday, 6:30-8, but final schedule TBD.)

All Rec players should have shinguards. Shorts are not mandated under Grade 3 (through April it can still get a little chilly). Sweatpants are OK. Cleats are not mandatory for the Pre-K/K children but they are recommended...the fields can be muddy through the Spring. Grades 1 and up should have cleats.

Most sporting goods stores (Dick's, Modell's, etc) will run specials through the start of the season where you can get a soccer ball, cleats and shinguards for a bundle price (usually under $25). See above for soccer ball size for your child.

Reversible Jerseys / T-Shirts
Pre-K / K players will wear a LVSC Rec T-Shirt. If your child has one from a previous year, they can use the same one. If you need a new t-shirt, they are available for a cost of $12. There is an option to choose your size on the registration form. Sizes Youth XS-S-M-L.

Grade 1 and up players will wear a Red LVSC Rec Jersey with number on back. If your child has a tee-shirt or jersey from a previous year (or hand-me-down from a sibling), they can use that. Buying a new jersey is NOT required. However, if you need or would like a new jersey, they are available for a cost of $16. There is an option to choose your size and number on the registration form. Sizes Youth S-M-L and Adult S-M-L.
