Winter Program

The Lenape Valley Soccer Club's Winter Indoor Soccer Skills Clinic is held every January through March!

The main emphasis of the clinic is to introduce our youngest players to the world's greatest sport and to develop skills through age-appropriate, fun activities and small-sided games.  We understand that most players are here to have FUN and PLAY, and we will provide a safe, motivating and stimulating environment to do just that.  It is our goal that your child will come away from the LVSC Winter Skills Clinic not only wanting more soccer, but also enriched with greater confidence and an expanded understanding of sportsmanship and teamwork.  While there is certainly a place for drills, we believe instruction followed by small-sided games offers the best opportunities for players to develop soccer skills.

• Small-sided games will be included as a major part of each weekly session.
• Each session will also focus on a specific skill we expect players to incorporate into their games.

A sample of what a child should expect at each session to generally follow this format:

• Warm-up/Preparation
• Demonstrations, Skill Work and Teaching
• Break
• Group Play
• Small Sided Games
• Cool-Down
•  Dismissal back to parent / guardian – please pick up your child promptly, in fairness to players in the next group session . We will be transitioning quickly!

The coaching staff for the LVSC winter program is comprised of the head soccer coach from LV Regional High School and a coed group of Lenape Valley seniors with extensive soccer experience. who are excited to serve the community in this capacity – most of our coaches are “home-grown” and came up through the ranks in the Lenape Valley Soccer Club!

**Themes are scheduled with the understanding that age appropriate modifications will be made.

***Shooting and finishing are always emphasized!!! This is a day specifically devoted to these skills
